Mission Retreats
Center for Whole Communities regularly applies its basic Whole Thinking Retreat curriculum to the needs of specific groups and organizations who are engaged with land issues. For example, we work with foundations to bring together their grantees focusing on specific landscapes. We also work with individual organizations to convene their staff, board and/or grantees around their highest aspirations for their mission. Lastly, we work with communities to help citizens to find the shared values and approaches that will enable them to solve their most difficult land use issues. In recent years we have held mission retreats for the directors of the northeastern region of The Nature Conservancy; and for grantees of the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, for the Wellborn Ecology Fund, for the Jessie Smith Noyes Foundation and for W. K. Kellogg Foundation.
